The difference between the C and CS interfaces lies in the contact surface between the lens and camera to the focal plane of the lens. The C-type lens and the C-type camera can be used in conjunction with the CS type lens. Adding a 5mm C/CS adapter ring between the Ctype lens and the CS type camera can be used in conjunction. The CS lens cannot be used in conjunction with the C camera.

This distance professional term is called flange focal length. The flange focal length of the C interface is 17.5mm, and the flange focal length of the CS interface is 12.5mm.

The diameter of the rear port of the C interface is 25mm. Both types of lenses belong to threaded interfaces. During the use of the lens, it is usually a C-type standard camera connected to a C-interface lens, and a CS lens connected to a CS type camera. However, during the use process, a 5mm thick extension ring can be added to the C interface lens to be used

in conjunction with the CS camera, which cannot be used in conjunction with the C camera. If the C interface lens does not have an extension ring, it will cause the lens to

touch the sensor target surface, causing damage to the sensor. The reason why CS lenses and C-type cameras cannot be combined is that the distance between the lens imaging

surface and the CCD light receiving surface is too far to obtain a focused image.
